Depleted but not defeated - "Against all Odds" do it again!
Although it was tight this evening, being all down to a single point in the end from the team "James is late again"! Study of the respective answer sheets shows it was neck and neck all the way until question 38, this being the crucial one. So, "Against all Odds" took the £40 bar voucher fist prize. You could say their performance was a bit Man City like, but not Arsenal like - let's hope the boss lady doesn't read this!
Following an absence of leave, "Any Danger?" returned this evening and despite being last after the first half of the quiz by quite a wide margin, they managed to double their first-half score in the second half and consequently scooped the £20 bar voucher second prize. Despite being slow starters or perhaps I should say late developers, - probably both - they also won the closest to question enabling them to select from the remaining eight Jackpot envelopes for the £150 cash prize. That's unfortunately where their "late development" evaporated! They did, however, win a drink on the house. The £150 Jackpot cash prize, therefore, rolls over to next week's Quiz Night at the Highwayman on Wednesday 22nd May!Disclaimer: Blog posts are written by our Quiz hosts.
